About me

Hey there....

I’m Delilah Brien, a multimedia performer and artist with roots in both New York City and Los Angeles.

I grew up just outside of NYC, where the world of theatre became my home. I began my journey with dance, starting at the age of four. Feeling there was more to performance I had to discover, I dove into musical theatre. In high school, I performed in four productions a year, while performing in two additional musicals in NYC. I joined a New York–based theatre company, which allowed me to train with working actors and challenge myself to envision a future as a professional performer. I have studied dance from the age of four. I joined my high school Varsity Dance Team while being very active member of the theatre department as an annual dance captain and host of the improv team. I mixed this with immersing myself in the city, going to Broadway Dance Center weekly, where I discovered my passion for musical theatre dance centered around storytelling.

I am studying theatre in the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts, while minoring in dance at the Kaufman School of Dance.  I’ve embraced the full scope of performance training, taking the maximum course load each semester with the support of the Academic Achievement Award. I’m now pursuing my professional acting career with momentum, while drawing from my background in dance, theatre, and visual storytelling.

As a citizen of the U.S.., U.K., and Germany, I plan to continue my work in Los Angeles, New York, London, and more, honing my craft and expanding my network.

Vocal Clips

Singing has always defined my household. From my grandmother and mother to myself, we are regular songbirds.

I began singing in school talent shows in elementary school and found a place for my voice in musical theatre.

Dance Reel

Beginning at the age of four, I have regularly attended dance classes. I lean towards jazz and hip hop, earning me a place on GHS Varsity Dance Team for 3 years and in the Assistant choreographer and dance captain of GHS's production of Hairspray, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and Beauty and The Beast.

At CalArts, I explored African Dance and House Dance. Starting at USC in 2024, I found a new passion for developing technique, and have redirected my attention to ballet and jazz to grow as a diverse dancer.

Service/ Advocacy

Alongside my artistic journey, I’ve lived with Type 1 Diabetes since age 5. This experience has shaped not only my unwavering discipline but also my advocacy work. Looking back on my origins as an advocate, "Team Delilah" was created by my family in 2007, and has since raised $500,000 dollars through the annual charity fundraising walk in NYC. I have also been on the Youth Council of Breakthrough T1D since I was twelve, reaching out to newly diagnosed young adults to build relationships that support and encourage.

I have shared my story on CBS News, at NYC fundraising galas, in Washington DC at the Children’s Congress (where I met President Obama!) and other media outlets to increase awareness of this incurable, chronic and often misunderstood autoimmune condition. My experience inspired me to have a regular practice of serving others.

I have mentored young adults through Indivisible Arts's art program centered around mindfulness practices for over 4 years. I counseled T1D kids at Camp Conrad Chinook for four years. Teaching Friendship Foundation (a non-profit for disabled young adults and adults) music class, "Jam Central", has been the highlight of this season of my life. Imbedding vocal exercises and singing challenges with music history and basic rhythm with a weekly class has been a gift.

I am incredibly grateful to have devoted parents who taught me that my challenges make me bold, courageous, and powerful. It also makes me very purposeful about my time and goals. I believe it is my drive that defines me.
